The purpose of this training is to provide participants with the basic knowledge and skills to participate in the process of identifying, assessing and controlling manual handling risks, together with reinforcing correct manual handling techniques. We provide both theory and practical training in this accredited training session.

- Basic principles of what happens to the body during manual handling activities
- Assessing manual handling tasks in the workplace
- Relocating a load using safe manual handling methods
By the end of this training session participants will have the skills and knowledge required to shift loads using manual handling methods, including assessing the risks associated with relocating the load, planning the relocation process and carrying out the relocation in accordance with the plan.
